I was fortunate to work as a Marketing Intern at
Visit SLO CAL, the destination marketing and management organization for San Luis Obispo County.
I worked alongside their Social Media and Digital Content Manager to brainstorm and create content for their Instagram and TikTok.
Land of…
During my time at Visit SLO CAL, the organization employed a social media and marketing strategy that presented the region with the tagline, “Land of…” followed by a descriptive phrase that encapsulated the uniqueness of SLO CAL. I sourced images from their asset library to come up with effective ways to represent the county with juxtaposed captions.

At Visit SLO CAL, as a Destination Marketing Organization, they valued sharing content made by locals and tourists to highlight personal experiences made in SLO CAL. Using Crowdriff, I sourced assets from posts made in San Luis Obispo County with a unifying theme to create engaging UGC posts.

Inspirational and Trending Reels
Using Visit SLO CAL’s existing asset library, I brainstormed and edited video content to create inspirational and trending reels to be posted on their Instagram and TikTok accounts.

Her Campus Media
I am a TikTok Assistant Manager and marketing team member for the Cal Poly, SLO chapter of Her Campus Media, a women’s digital magazine for college students. I worked on creating assets for the magazine’s Instagram page and TikTok Account.
Garnier Brand Collaboration
Our club collaborated with Garnier to promote their new skincare products at our college campus. These were a series of teaser story posts for Instagram. The green box is to signify the location of the question widget added later through Instagram.
